    • I am an international student candidate, I studied in Turkey, can I apply to your university?
      You can make your application from abroad according to the student acceptance principles.
    • I am Turkish, I am studying high school abroad, can I apply to your university??
      Including those who have completed all of their secondary education (high school) in Turkish schools in a foreign country other than the TRNC, which have been opened by the Ministry of National Education, can apply according to the acceptance principles of foreign students.
    • I have dual nationality, do I have to be Turkish in order to apply to your university?

      If your first nationality is Turkish, you must study abroad for the entire secondary education (high school) in order to apply. However, if your second nationality is Turkish, you do not have to renounce Turkish nationality.

      However, if your first citizenship is a foreign national, but one of your parents is Turkish, you cannot benefit from the right of foreign students even if you do not have Turkish citizenship.

    • What is the financial security amount determined by your university for final registrations?
      It is determined by the University Administrative Board for each academic year. You can reach the announcement regarding the subject on the web page of the Registrar's Office
    • I cannot come for final registration, if I send the documents by mail, can I register?
      Final registration is not made by mail. Registrations are made face to face or online according to extraordinary circumstances (pandemic)
    • I cannot come for final registration, can someone else do my final registration?
      For final registration, you need to give a notary power of attorney to the next person. It should be stated in the power of attorney that the person who is the representative is authorized to register to Istanbul Technical University and to receive the documents issued in his name.
    • Can internet printout of SAT result be used in pre-application?
      Can be used. However, the original or verifiable printout of the document must be submitted in final registration.
    • Do I have to submit a Turkish proficiency certificate to start undergraduate education?

    • A long-term appointment has been made to obtain a High School Equivalency Certificate, it will not be available during the registration process. What should I do?
      Certificate of equivalence must be submitted in the final registration.
    • I am abroad, where should I apply to get a study visa?
      You have to apply to the Turkish Consulate in your country with the acceptance letter sent to you by us.
    • What are the dormitory and scholarship opportunities?

      You can access the relevant code from SAT's web page.
    • What is the validity period of the exams with the status of high school graduation exams?
      High school graduation exams (ABITUR, etc.) are valid indefinitely.
    • What is the validity period of exams with university entrance status?
      The validity period of exams (SAT etc.) with university entrance status is 2 (two) years.
    • How are the residence permit procedures of foreign students carried out?
